Programme goals & objectives, (ND) Mass Communication

The programme is for a duration of two academic of two academic session and it includes a compulsory supervised Industrial experience sandwiched between the sessions. The course is designed to produce suitable middle- level manpower for the various mass media establishment such as public and private newspapers. radio land television. station, public relations and advertising firms, as well as other organization needing the services of  mass media practitioners. 

On completion of the course, the diplomats should be able to do among the other thing.

1. Practicing as news reporters for newspapers. Magazines, Radio, T.V. and other media establishments
2. Act As junior Sub-Editors capable to planning pages of newspapers and magazines
3. Perform the duties of Public Relations and Advertising Assistants.
4. Act as junior Information officer in government Information officers in government information Department
5. Become proof readers for book publishing houses and newspaper/magazines establishments.
6. Produce programmes for the Radio/TV
7. Take suitable pictures develop and print them for media houses.

Programme goals & objectives, (HND)

The programme for the award of the higher National Diploma in Mass Communication with Print or Broadcast runs for two sessions. The programme is essentially for the production of higher level manpower in Mass Communication for the public and private sector of the economy. On completion of the course, the diplomats will be able to favourable by working in Radio/TV studios, public relations, advertising outfits, as well as other organisations needing services of mass media practitioners.
