Programme goals & objectives (ND)

This programme is designed primarily to prepare students for supervisory careers in Management.  Commerce and Government ministries and agencies that have to deal with business undertakings.  In particular the course is designed to produce first line management personnel equipped with comprehensive foundation knowledge about the firm and the environment in which it operates.

Specifically,

1. At the end of the programme the diplomat of the course should be able to Assist management in the work of planning, organizing and controlling
2. Be actively involved in the execution of plans, notification and directing the workers
3. Contribute maximally to the achievement of organizational objectives
4. Pursue studies leading to the higher National Diploma and a B. Sc. in Business Administration and Marketing
5. Pursue studies leading to professional examination of recognized bodies such as Institute of Management, Institute of Personnel Management, Institute of Purchasing and Supply, Institute of Marketing, Nigerian Institute of Bankers and Institute of Chartered Secretaries and administrators.

Programme goals & objectives (HND)

The Higher National Diploma in Business Administration and Management has been designed to produce middle management personnel who have a thorough understanding of modern management concepts and techniques for the public and private sectors of our economy.

Specifically, the diplomats of this course should be able to: (i) systematically plan, organize, staff, lead, motivate and control different activities in an organization. (ii) interact with external environment so as to contribute effectively to the attainment of goal and objective of an organization using available resources. (iii) Advance into professional and more specific fields such as Personnel management. Marketing and Finance, Purchasing and Supply, banking and Accounting. (iv) pursue studies leading to MBAZ or M. Sc. degree.
